Beletrina (Slovenia) is one of the most ambitious and internationally involved Slovenian publishing houses. Since its founding in 1996, it has published more than 1,500 titles of top writers who have received eminent domestic and world literary awards. In addition to book production and the organization of numerous events, the Days of Poetry and Wine festival and the Fabula World Literature Festival, Beletrina is a generator of innovative projects and initiatives in the European cultural and creative sector. In twenty-seven years, Beletrina has created several successful brands that mark projects and products (Biblos – national platform for e-book selling and lending used in all Slovenian national and primary and high-school libraries; Versopolis – European Poetry platform for emerging poets, Open letter to Europe project, etc.)

Fundación Germán Sánchez Ruipérez (FGSR, Spain) is an independent non-profit organization created in 1981 by a former Spanish publisher. FGSR is a leader in promoting reading and implementing innovative projects based on the concept of R&D of reading. FGSR has devoted its activities to training programs for librarians and teachers and publishing industry staff, implementing research on reading behavior, experimenting with new models of action regarding the design of spaces, e-lending, ICT programs, participation or innovation within the libraries, schools or book industry. The FGSR has one ICT for education centre plus Casa del Lector which is an international, multidisciplinary project conceived by the FGSR and located in Madrid with learning areas, R&D spaces and a modern auditorium to promote activities addressed to the reader in the twenty-first century and experiment and test new tools and strategies. They are the organizers of the "Readmagine conferences".

Ruediger Wischenbart Content & Consulting (RWCC, Austria) researches and publishes market reports on the international publishing industry, with an emphasis on its digital transformation and on innovative publishing models. Reports by RWCC include the “Global 50 International Publishing Ranking” (since 2007), the “Global Ebook” report series (2011 to 2017) and its continuation under the “Digital Consumer Book Barometer” brand (since 2018), and the “Diversity Report series on translations (since 2008). RWCC also organizes professional events, conferences and debates for the sector, notably “ReBoot Books” since 2020. RWCC is initiator and coordinator of the Creative Europe project “Sustaining Cultural Diversity in Literary Translation (SDT)” and acted as a member of the Management Committee for the COST project “ERead”.

Federation of European Publishers (FEP, Belgium) is an independent, non-commercial umbrella association representing 29 national associations of book, learned journal and educational resource publishers, from all over Europe; FEP deals with European legislation and advises publishers’ associations on copyright and other legislative issues; it acts on behalf of its members with the Institutions of the European Union. FEP works in close collaboration with the EU Institutions to ensure that high quality European content is available to European consumers. FEP encourages to implement positive policies for European publishing, to promote the competitiveness of European publishing and to underpin European educational standards and cultural identity. FEP works to increase knowledge about and around the publishing sector, monitors innovation in the sector, contributes to it through projects and spreads information. FEP organises events to exchange information, increase awareness and promote best practices in book publishing. FEP has extensive experience with EU-funded projects that promote innovation and skills development in the publishing sector.

Next Page Foundation (Next page Bulgaria) was established in 2001 and is working in strengthening of international literary communication, by empowering underprivileged groups and languages, and towards their equal participation in the European and global dialogue of ideas. The foundation operates both in Bulgaria and internationally with a special focus on “peripheral” languages and, until 2015, works primarily in Eastern Europe and the Balkans, post-Soviet states, and the Arab speaking world in providing translation grants, research, trainings and mobility for translators, writers, publishers and not-for-profits from the book sector. In 2015 the foundation together with Sofia Municipality established the Sofia Literature and Translation House which develops capacity-building programmes for literary translators, public and professional events and an international residency programme for writers and translators in Bulgaria, which operates throughout the year.

Carrenho Publishing Consulting (CPC, Sweden) is the natural formalization of the work of Carlo Carrenho as a publishing advisor and specialist. CPC's focus areas are, among others: International Business Development, Digital Strategy, Publishing Business Models, Ebooks and Audiobooks, Global Publishing. CPC's is mainly focused on the European and Latin American markets, but it sees publishing as an increasing global business and, therefore, believes it is equipped to consult and advise globally.

Norwegian Reading Centre, University of Stavanger (NRC, Norway) is a multidisciplinary research centre within the Faculty of Arts and Education at the University of Stavanger, Norway. Their research concerns language and literacy development and assessment in educational contexts, from kindergartens to workplaces. They were the initiator and coordinator of COST project “ERead”.

EDRLab (France) is an international, non-profit development laboratory, working on the deployment of an open, interoperable and accessible digital publishing ecosystem, worldwide. EDRLab is one of the main contributors of the open-source Readium toolkits, the creator of the free Thorium Reader desktop reading application and the manager of the LCP DRM. It is also an active member of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), actively participating to Publishing@W3C activities, i.e. the evolution of the EPUB 3 format and the creation of the publishing standards for the Open Web Platform. They are the organizers of the "Digital Publishing Summits".

Polish Chamber of Books (PCB, Poland), established in 1990, is a commercial self-government institution associating publishers and bookshops, book warehouses, printing houses as well as all other enterprises related to a book market. PIK statutory objectives include: permanent representation and protection of the branch interests against state institutions, other domestic and foreign organizations as well as to create favourable conditions for publishing output and books distribution.

The Limassol Book Fair (LBF, Cyprus) is a regional communications hub where neighbouring stakeholders can meet and share insights on mutual issues concerning Letters, Books, and Culture in general. It aims at stimulating all areas of the local book industry, such as publishing, book-selling, printing and production (physical and electronic), online and offline marketing, editorial and other literary areas. In addition, the event aspires to hold an industry-specific event focusing on challenges facing the local and regional book sector. They are also organizers of the Limassol Book Fair.

Thinking (Greece) is a technology and design agency supporting publishers in their digital transformation since 2009. They are a multidisciplinary team bringing together expertise in publishing, content, design, software development, marketing, production and business strategy. Based in Athens, Greece, they have partnered with publishers both locally and abroad. The last few years they are working on the digital innovation of the reading experience in browser-based apps.
